One of the key issues from the current presidential administration and the next has been about Immigration. Over the history of the USA, immigration has always been a divisive issue, with many problems within the laws that have been passed. This week, explore two videos by John Oliver, and one by Hasan Minhaj as they break down three different areas within the realm of US Immigration.

1. Immigration Courts: Documented peoples, Undocumented peoples, and Asylum seekers all have to go through certain immigration courts to determine if and/or when they can stay in the United States. However, these courts do not treat everyone equally. Explore this video as John Oliver takes you through different stories of people going through these courts.

2. Immigration Enforcement: The history of which US Departments oversees immigration enforcement shows it has changed departments over the years, now ran by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In this video, Hasan takes you through the creation of ICE, and their current operations that have called many to abolish it.

3. Legal Immigration: Current estimates for the breakdown of immigrants in this country are about 75% are documented and 25% are undocumented. One of the reasons for this breakdown and why there are an increasing amount of undocumented immigrants is to some of the flaws within the legal immigration system, which is explored in this video.
