Food, something we all need and all love. With Thanksgiving just two days away, I believe most of you are either prepping to make a delicious dish, or prepping to eat some delicious dishes. Whatever your plan, I hope you are able to stay safe during this time. This week, we will explore how technology is being used to advertise food, how one of the most famous restaurant awards came to be, how the food industry uses their secret weapon, and a bonus article on corn!

1. How Robots make food commercials: Food commercials are one of the prime vehicles for selling all types of food, but making them look extravagant on the big screen can be more difficult that one thinks. In this video, Vox shows how different technologies and robots are used to make in a complex way to create a simple appearing food commercial.

The Tire Company that Give Out Food Awards: The famous Michelin Awards, ranking the top restaurants in the world from one to three stars, was originally a part of a travel guide, that the tire company passed out to help promote their company. While the company doesn't focus on a travel guide to promote itself, the Michelin Award is still the highest pride a restaurant can achieve.

3. The Food Industry's Secret Weapon: Sugar! Sugar! Sugar! As America moved to wanting to have less fat in their food, sugar and sugar substitutes were increasingly added to food to help keep up the favorable taste. This video explores how sugar has been added to food more, and if it is adding to our sugar addiction.
