The NRA, or National Rifle Association has been in America since 1871, and has evolved from its goal to "promote and encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis," to becoming a strong political force in the nation. In this week's Tuesday Drop, we will explore the influence of the NRA, as well as a substitute for those who may not want to join the NRA, but are a fan of guns.

1. The NRA’s Global Impact: In this video, Hasan Minhaj explores how many of the laws and regulations that have been, or not been passed, due to the NRA, have affected gun sales and trade across the US and the World. Watch this video to see if the NRA's decisions have had an impact in your daily life.

2. NRA TV: The NRA has maintained its popularity due to the propaganda it puts out and depends on, which is that there is an attempt to take the 2nd Amendment away. Recently, the NRA has been producing its own TV shows to continue to strengthen that message.

3. The NRA For Black People Wants to Get Political: The National African American Gun Association (NAAGA) was founded to "to expose, educate, and motivate as many African American men and women to go out and purchase a firearm for self-defense and to take training on proper gun use." In this video, Vice goes in to meet with members on why they joined.

Call to Action! No matter your stance on guns, I encourage you to look more into what is happening locally as far as gun laws or events, and try to learn from others on what they want to change in the future, and how that compares to your stances.
